Dance of the Dead on the Big Screen!
Special screening in a theater for one night only!
Ten years ago my husband informed me that he’d been asked to work on a film by Gregg Bishop, an insanely talented director. We’d worked with Gregg before on “The Other Side” and it was a very exciting prospect.
He left for Rome, Georgia and yup, it was exciting.
In a very short time he’d become the fully-fledged Production Designer, and the writer, Joe Ballarini, met him and liked his…air? Aura? Presence? so much he sat down and wrote up a new character just for him, The Gravedigger. The surly, mysterious recalcitrant responsible for the local graveyard, that of course no one listens to and thus hijinks ensue. It was thanks to his inclusion in this film that he got to meet such sterling individuals as Toby Sells (creature f/x for “The Walking Dead”), Lucas Till (Havok in the X-Men movies, MacGuyver), and Blair Redford (Switched at Birth, The Lying Game).
He also got to kill a former Georgia state Senator, who was there as a zombie extra for a bit of fun.
The film is a fun take on the zombie genre, with likeable characters, tons of action, and a quirky upbeat sense of humor. The premise is that there’s a zombie breakout on the night of the big dance and only the losers who couldn’t get dates can save us all!
Highly recommend you check it out. Great way to spend an evening!
